Transfer calls were this Saturday! I'm leaving my greeny area, I
can't believe it! I was reasonably certain I would stay in Lacey for
one more transfer.... but alas, I stand corrected. I'll be going to...
*drum roll* BREMERTON!!!! I'll be serving in the Manette ward! I dont
know a ton about the area, but I'll tell you what I do know. It's right on
the water, so that's cool, and the area is interesting because the
district is one elder companionship, and 2 sisters, and we all share a
pretty small area (small in terms of size. It's very dense in terms of
population, hence the 3 companionships covering it). I don't know exactly whats in store, but I've heard a
lot of stories from Bremerton, and I know i have an adventure ahead of
me! (My MTC friend, Carlisle, found a dead body while tracting our
first transfer haha)
I've never met my soon-to-be companion, but his name is
Elder C I've heard he's way tight though, and a
legit missionary. I also heard he's the best pianist in the mission,
which is really cool, maybe he'll teach me stuff!! I'm a little nervous
though, because right before I meet him, I'll be playing piano in
transfer meeting for Elder K.... and The stuff I'm playing is
realllllyyyy difficult for me, and I'm already nervous, and Elder K and I
wont be able to practice together before the performance most likely,
and the whole mission will be watching....
Anyways, since I'm moving, please don't send any
letters or anything to Lacey! I actually do have the address to my new apt., but I forgot to bring it..... my bad! I'll write the address in a
letter today, and send it home so you guys will have it.
Naomi got baptized! she is soooo legit, I don't
remember if I told you guys that before, but she is just so awesome. We
were hoping her dad would be able to baptize her, but at the last
minute there was a change of plan, and she asked me to baptize her
instead. So I got in the water again! I can't really explain what it
feels like, but there is just so much happiness and light, and it's
humbling to be a part of it. I have a couple pictures from the baptism,
I'll get that home soonish I think!
ALSO, 5 people got confirmed in Sacrament meeting this
week, pretty awesome! (the 4 michels plus naomi) Cade
asked me to confirm him, I was really nervous, but it was such a good
experience. Gerard and Cade are both going to get the priesthood this
week. I can't tell you how happy this makes me.
Elder D and I were at a
member dinner last night and we were talking with them and eating,
and they all thought I was at least a year old, and I was like "nope,
just 3 months!" haha, and then at the end, I gave a spiritual message
about faith, and the spirit was really strong, but I think the thing I learned from it was that it
doesn't matter how inexperienced you are as a missionary, you still have
the mantle of a missionary, and if you are listening to the spirit and
doing your best, Heavenly Father will take care of everything else!
Elder W is going home in 2 days, I'm way sad about it.
He has been with me my whole mission thus far, and I don't want him to
go home. When we got transfer calls, Elder W told President he wanted a
call too haha, and Pres. said, "Elder W you are going to Queen Creek AZ,
with Suzy!" and Willis was like "Suzy?? what's that? a prophecy of my
future wife's name??" haha. So anyways, this will be my last P day
with him, we have some cool stuff planned out.
On another sad note, Emily cancelled her baptism on
Friday (it was planned for Sunday) and it was really hard to take. But she knows the Book of Mormon is
true, she knows Joseph Smith was a Prophet, and she does want to be
baptized, and I know that one day she will be.
I'm pretty tired of writing this, so i'm gonna close. Love you all!

PS, I don't go back and read these emails, so I don't
know what they sound like, but I just want everyone to know how great
missions are. They aren't always easy, there are some rough days, but
It is absolutely nothing compared to how happy they make you, and how
fulfilling it is. Also, I don't think people who haven't yet gone on a
mission realize how fun it is. I think if everyone knew what a mission
was really like, everyone would be begging to go.
