Hey, new address in Manette, B-town is
1121 Callahan Dr. Apt. 222
Bremerton, WA 98310
Bremerton is awesome!!!!! I'm serving in the Manette ward, and
it's the best ward ever! This place is so legit, I wish I could
explain... First of all, I'm in a 4-some again, but the other 2
missionaries are sisters, if that makes sense. We share the same ward
and apt complex, and we have to coordinate all the time to make sure we
don't tract the same areas and stuff, but it works out really well, We
have such cool sister missionaries in the WATAC. Sister G and
Sister V are "Womanette" :) Oh, and Elder C (new companion) is
great! We are quickly becoming friends, and we really like each other.
(hahaha, I just thought it would be way funny if, as i'm writing this,
he's over on his computer complaining about me. but hopefully thats not
true!) He's a very very very talented pianist and pretty darn good
beatboxer (his brother is in Vocal Point) He has also only been out for
like 7 1/2 months or so. So he's considerably more experienced than I
am, but at the same time that's relatively young for a missionary. It's
really awesome though, because we both have that greeny fire :) We
have really been pushing ourselves to be exact in our obedience, and to
be the best "preach my gospel" missionaries we can be. I LOVE it.
The week went by fast, but at the same time it feels like it's been
forever since I last emailed, I have no idea what to include, so
much has happened.
Let's start with transfer meeting.
Elder K and I performed Nearer my God to Thee, I played piano and he
sang. I made a pretty intense piano part, and played it pretty well,
so i was happy, and Keeney sang great of course. It was really cool to
be able to play at this transfer meeting, cuz we were both saying bye to Elder W. His farewell testimony was so powerful, and he just cried a
lot. He cried again when we were hugging goodbye, and I started to tear
up too, I miss him so much. Now Elder K is a single father (his-co-trainer has gone home), but I won't
be an Orphan (when both his original trainers have gone home) until around November I think, so that's good at least.
Saying goodbye to the Lacey Zone was hard too, but that was a week ago,
and now I'm making new friends haha :) First of all, my companion is
awesome. I'll probably end up writing about him later in a letter, I
don't really feel like it at the moment. Womanette is awesome, and
sis. G and I sang a song at a
baptism they had a few days ago, we (g, me, and c on
piano) threw it together a few hours before, but it sounded way better
than that. Elder C arranged this really cool piano thing, and the
best part was the last verse, which was just way big and epic, and I
sang G#'s ! belting and everything. it sounded really good :) It was
Joseph Smith's First Prayer, to the tune of Come Thou Fount.
When I came out to the field, there were a few missionaries who
were in the same group as me, but a different MTC district, so I didn't
really know them, one of them was Sister N, We are in the same zone
now! she's emailing on the computer right next to
me at the moment actually haha, and made me promise to write something
about her. I think that's only fair, since I got her to title her email
"Lonas".
Some other stuff this week? I've been into a video
documentation mood lately, So when I send home the SD card you should
get some cool videos! But I also had to delete some stuff because I'm
out of space, and I think the SD card you sent up is in Lacey, and I'm
out here (Oh, General Apology to anyone who wrote me a letter that went
to Lacey that I didn't reply to, there's a good chance I'll never get
it) So I'm trying to get Elder D to send it to me. But anyways, one
video I have briefly documents a cool experience we had tracting the
other day! It we were only about 15 minutes into our 5-7, and we met
this couple that were trying to move in, so we offered our help! they
accepted because there was no way they were getting those couches in
without help. we tried really hard to get it in through the door, but
to no avail, it was just not going to work. We decided it was a good
idea to take the couch around back, and have Elder C and I push it
up onto their second story balcony, them to grab onto it and start
pulling it up, and then to have C run upstairs and help them
pull it over. The video I have documents our excitement just before we
tried this. Amazingly, it actually worked. They were very grateful for
our help, and we started talking to them about church and stuff. They
had a scheduled church tour, but it fell through, but we are definitely
going to follow up this week, they seemed really sincere. But I'll keep
you guys updated!
I'm pretty much done emailing, it was a lot easier to feel
motivated to do this in the morning, but this library doesnt even open
until 1 o'clock!
Summary: Manette is awesome, I love my companions.
Alright, gonna go now, but I love you, and hope to hear from you this week now that you all have my address!!!
Lonas
